Sardinia's summer superyacht fleet expands with billionaire-owned vessels

The early July sailing season in Sardinia saw a surge of ultra‑luxury yachts anchoring at Porto Cervo, Portisco and Porto Rotondo. Notable arrivals include the 62‑metre *Anawa* owned by Brazilian‑Swiss investor Jorge Paulo Lemann, the 53‑metre *Nirvana Formentera* previously belonging to Mango founder Isak Andic, and the 71‑metre *Skat* now owned by Norwegian billionaire Kjell Inge Røkke.

Other vessels spotted were Roberto Cavalli’s former *Freedom*, Renzo Rosso’s *Lady Brave*, the 97‑metre *Carinthia VII* under Argentine entrepreneur Rubén Cherñajovsky, and yachts linked to finance and industry leaders such as Sándor Csányi, Mark Scheinberg, Luca Rovati, Pier Luigi Loro Piana, Rick Caruso, John Tyson and Hans Georg Näder. The yachts feature amenities like pools, helipads, cinemas and extensive crew, turning the island into a floating showcase of wealth for the July‑August peak tourism period.
