Sardoal to host Smart Villages Forum for rural development

The I Smart Villages Forum – Sardoal 2026 will take place on September 24 at the Gil Vicente Cultural Center. Organized by NERSANT in partnership with the Municipality of Sardoal and several regional entities, the event aims to promote digital, intelligent, and sustainable solutions for rural territories.

The forum brings together public decision-makers, specialists, and companies to address challenges such as digital transformation, sustainability, and demographic shifts like population aging. It seeks to foster the implementation of Smart Village strategies within the context of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) to revitalize low-density areas.
