Sargento Rodrigues elected president of Três Lagoas City Council

Councilman Adriano Cezar Rodrigues, known as Sargento Rodrigues, has been elected unanimously to serve as the president of the Três Lagoas City Council for the 2027–2028 biennium. He is scheduled to assume office on January 1, 2027, succeeding the current president, Antônio Luiz Teixeira Empke Júnior (Tonhão).

The election, held during an extraordinary session, also established the new Board of Directors. The leadership team for the upcoming term will include Mário Luiz de Almeida Grespan as first vice-president, Sirlene dos Santos Pereira as second vice-president, Davis Martinelli Leal dos Santos as first secretary, and Robson Fegruglia da Costa as second secretary.

As part of a political arrangement, Rodrigues will transition from his current role as leader of Mayor Dr. Cassiano Maia to the presidency. In turn, Tonhão will move from the presidency to serve as the mayor's leader within the legislature starting in 2027.
