Sarıgöl, Turkey Opens Pesticide‑Residue Testing Station for Agricultural Sprayers

The District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Sarıgöl, Manisa province, has opened a Zirai Mücadele Alet ve Makineleri Test İstasyonu. The facility checks spraying equipment – including nozzle flow, pressure, droplet size, airflow and atomisation – using scientific methods to minimise pesticide residues.

The aim is to protect the environment and human health while improving the quality of table grapes destined for export. Farmers can book appointments year‑round to have their machines tested, ensuring correct dosage and reducing unnecessary pesticide use. Local producers have welcomed the service as a significant step for safer, higher‑quality agricultural production.
