Sarkodie and Stonebwoy engage in social media dispute

Ghanaian musicians Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have engaged in a social media dispute following comments made by Sarkodie regarding fan-driven rivalries. Sarkodie advised artists to avoid unnecessary conflicts fueled by fans who attack other brands to elevate their favorites.

Stonebwoy responded by expressing grievances regarding his relationship with Sarkodie, alleging that the rapper failed to congratulate him following his OVO Arena Wembley concert in London. Stonebwoy also claimed that certain social media posts by Sarkodie were directed at him, accusing the rapper of disrespect, hypocrisy, and betrayal.

Sarkodie denied these allegations, stating he has never used social media to mock Stonebwoy. He noted that he would not have personally invited Stonebwoy to perform at his Royal Albert Hall show if there were underlying issues. The dispute expanded to include Sarkodie’s manager, Angel Town, who shared WhatsApp screenshots to address claims involving Stonebwoy’s manager, Chief Stylzz, and the 2025 BHIMFest.
