Sarkodie recounts unsettling fan encounter following road accident

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has shared details of a serious road accident involving himself and highlife musician Amakye Dede. The incident occurred during a trip from Kumasi to Agogo, when the vehicle carrying the musicians collided head-on with another car and veered into a nearby bush.

Amakye Dede was in the front passenger seat, while Sarkodie was in the back with a driver and a cameraman. Because the rest of their convoy was some distance behind, the four occupants were initially alone at the scene.

Sarkodie described a disturbing encounter with a bystander following the crash. He noted that a woman approaching the wreckage from a nearby bus requested a selfie rather than inquiring about his well-being. The rapper remarked that the incident highlighted how celebrity status can cause fans to overlook a person's humanity in favor of seeking proximity to a public figure.
