Sarmato citizens contest Arpae findings on industrial sludge

In Sarmato, a citizens' committee is contesting findings by Arpae regarding a white cloud of dust observed in the Sacchello Vecchio area. While Arpae previously described the phenomenon as non-toxic construction dust, the committee claims independent laboratory analyses suggest the material is actually industrial defecation sludge.

According to the committee, chemical analyses of soil from the former Eridania sugar refinery decantation tanks show a calcium-based matrix consisting of 92.24% calcium, with a concentration of 257,000 mg/kg. The group is demanding greater transparency regarding sampling methods and the potential health impacts of the material being moved at the site.
