Sarmiento Municipality announces community health and sports programs

The Municipality of Sarmiento is launching a series of community-focused activities through its Secretariat of Social Development and Secretariat of Sports.

The social development agenda includes free workshops and health sessions at local educational institutions. Scheduled activities include yoga classes, preventive health screenings for blood pressure and diabetes in coordination with the local hospital, folklore workshops, and rights-based training for parents. Additionally, an exchange session regarding the rights of senior citizens will be held at School No. 612.

In the sports sector, the municipality is hosting the ‘Bosque Encantado’ (Enchanted Forest) artistic skating encounter for beginners. The event will take place on Sunday, September 6, at the School No. 28 gymnasium, featuring participants from the Los Lagos Municipal Skating School, Club Deportivo Sarmiento, and the Olas del Sur Skating School.
