Sarmiento prepares for 118th anniversary celebrations

The department of Sarmiento is preparing to celebrate its 118th anniversary on August 25. Local authorities have begun planning the festivities, which will include a formal ceremony on the anniversary date followed by celebrations at the Riviello site in Villa Media Agua from August 28 to 30. The scheduled events feature musical performances, dance academies, and a gastronomic fair.

To manage the celebrations, the San Juan Police have established a security operation. Pablo Torres, head of the D3 division, confirmed that the plan includes increased patrols, traffic controls, sobriety checkpoints, and investigations related to narcotics to ensure public safety throughout the period.
