Sarolta Zalatnay documentary faces delays amid media shifts

Singer Sarolta Zalatnay has expressed concern regarding the release of her upcoming documentary, ‘Vörös Sarolta’, which chronicles her life and career. Although the film received 50 million HUF in production support from the National Film Institute (NFI), its premiere has become uncertain due to recent political changes and shifts in the media landscape.

Zalatnay noted that while the funding remains intact and she has not been blacklisted, the administrative and marketing shifts following the April political changes have stalled progress. Specifically, a previous agreement with TV2 for the film's promotion and marketing has been disrupted by personnel changes at the network. Consequently, the project has been placed on a waiting list, and the release of a new song written specifically for the film is also being delayed until the documentary is ready for broadcast.
