Sarreguemines hosts aging well and home autonomy salon
The “Bien vieillir chez soi” (Aging Well at Home) salon will take place on Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 to 18:00 at the Casino des Faïenceries in Sarreguemines. The event is designed to help individuals preserve autonomy and assist caregivers in supporting loved ones.
Attendees can participate in various activities, including autonomy assessments via ICOPE, gentle gymnastics, and balance workshops. The event features practical demonstrations, such as the SOLIHA truck, which showcases adapted furniture and technical aids for home living. Information regarding fraud prevention will be provided by the gendarmerie and the CLÉ service.
Caregivers can access resources from the Samsah (Medico-Social Support Service for Disabled Adults) and the Réseau de Santé de Moselle-Est (RESAMEST). The program also includes a film debate titled “Un jour tu vieilliras” starting at 15:30. Entry to the salon is free, though certain workshops require prior registration.
