Sarroch water supply suspension for infrastructure upgrades
Water supply services in Sarroch, Sardinia, will be suspended on Tuesday, October 20, from 8:30 to 17:30 to facilitate infrastructure upgrades. The utility provider, Abbanoa, is connecting new pipelines along the SS125 highway as part of a broader water network efficiency program.
The project involves replacing approximately 500 meters of pipeline with 350mm diameter pipes. This work is part of a 27 million euro investment plan funded by the Development and Cohesion Fund (Fsc) aimed at improving services and reducing water loss across various Sardinian centers. Sarroch is also included in the ‘Smart Networks’ project, which utilizes advanced technology to monitor aqueducts and identify system criticalities.
