SAS Link cabin crew strike expected to have minimal impact

A strike involving 24 cabin crew members from SAS Link is scheduled to begin next Wednesday following a breakdown in negotiations between the Fellesforbundet union and employers represented by NHO Luftfart. The dispute centers on the proportion of variable pay, with union members seeking guaranteed fixed pay for flight durations regardless of whether the employer can fully fill their working hours.

Despite the industrial action, SAS and NHO Luftfart expect limited consequences for flight traffic. The striking group represents approximately one percent of SAS's total cabin crew. SAS expressed disappointment regarding the decision, stating that the union rejected what they considered a good offer, while NHO Luftfart noted that an agreement had already been reached with the Parat union, which organizes the remaining cabin staff.
