SAS reopens paid EuroBonus status match for SkyTeam benefits

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has reopened a paid status match program for its EuroBonus loyalty program. The initiative allows members of over 80 different airline programs to convert their existing status into EuroBonus Silver, Gold, or Diamond tiers.

Matched status provides benefits across all 18 SkyTeam alliance airlines, including perks such as lounge access and extra baggage allowances. Depending on the applicant's current membership year, the matched status can remain valid for 12 to 24 months.

The program requires a participation fee: €89 for Silver (SkyTeam Elite), €199 for Gold (SkyTeam Elite Plus), and €349 for Diamond (SkyTeam Elite Plus). Residents of Poland and India are eligible for discounted rates, paying €39 for Silver, €79 for Gold, and €159 for Diamond.

Certain restrictions apply: residents of China, Brazil, and Argentina are ineligible. Additionally, SkyTeam airlines, Singapore Airlines, TAP Air Portugal, and Etihad are excluded from the matching process. The offer is subject to availability and will close once a set quota is reached.
