Sasa Kalajdzic returns to LASK on long-term contract

Austrian striker Sasa Kalajdzic has returned to LASK from Wolverhampton Wanderers, signing a long-term contract that runs until 2029. The move comes just 16 days after his departure from the club.

Kalajdzic reportedly turned down financial offers from the Bundesliga and Serie A to rejoin the Linz-based club. LASK sporting director Dino Buric noted that the player made conscious financial sacrifices to facilitate the move, citing Kalajdzic’s connection to the club and the coaching staff as deciding factors. The decision was also influenced by the contract extension of coach Didi Kühbauer.

Having previously played for LASK on loan, where he contributed to a double victory, Kalajdzic returns to support the team in their upcoming Champions League campaign. His stint in England was hampered by two cruciate ligament injuries, whereas his previous time with LASK helped him regain form and a place on the Austrian national team.
