SASE clarifies Ryanair negotiations and capital increase for Umbria airport
SASE, the management company for the San Francesco d'Assisi International Airport in Umbria, has issued a statement denying rumors that Ryanair's recent expansion in Rimini affects its operations in Perugia. The company described ongoing discussions with Ryanair as “normal commercial negotiation” aimed at developing long-term collaboration and preparing for a five-year agreement renewal next year.
Separately, the Assisi City Council has unanimously approved a capital increase for SASE. This measure is required because the airport exceeded 300,000 annual passengers over the last two years, necessitating a minimum social capital of €3,098,741 to ensure operational continuity and investment. The municipality will contribute €92,540.65 from its 2025 administrative surplus to maintain its 4.83% stake in the company.
