Sasha Vezenkov named EuroLeague Best One Team Ambassador

Sasha Vezenkov, the Bulgarian forward for Olympiacos B.C., has been named the EuroLeague ‘Best One Team Ambassador’ for the 2026-2027 season. This marks the second time in his career he has received this distinction, having previously earned the award in 2023.

Vezenkov was recognized for his consistent and meaningful participation in the Olympiacos One Team program throughout the season, despite a demanding professional schedule. The EuroLeague One Team initiative is a corporate social responsibility program aimed at promoting social inclusion and addressing inequalities, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10.

Speaking via the Olympiacos website, Vezenkov expressed that his happiness stemmed more from participating in the program than from the award itself. He noted that the initiative serves as a reminder of life’s important values and that the interactions with children helped him reconnect with his original reasons for loving basketball.
