Saskatchewan Court Denies Bail for Christopher Fahlman

The Saskatchewan Court of Appeal rejected Christopher Fahlman's application for bail, keeping him in police custody on charges of second‑degree murder and reckless discharge of a firearm. Fahlman is accused of fatally shooting 44‑year‑old Tanya Myers on September 12, 2025, while she was traveling in a Ford Explorer on Highway 39 near Weyburn, Saskatchewan. A second vehicle was also struck but its occupant was not injured. The court's decision, released on July 30, 2026, is subject to a publication ban on the evidence presented. Fahlman's preliminary hearing is scheduled for October. He remains detained pending further proceedings.
