Saskatchewan fairs roll out new food offerings for 2026 season

The 2026 Queen City Ex in Regina runs July 29 – Aug 2 at the REAL District, featuring a revamped midway menu with items such as Brownie Mini Donuts, Korean Curd Crunch, Cookies‑N‑Cream Korean hot dogs, Cinna‑Dog, Twista‑Roni, Brisket In A Bag and a Biscoff Kunafa Salted‑Caramel Slush.

The 2026 Saskatoon Ex opens on Thursday and runs until Aug 6 on the grounds of Prairieland Park. Organisers expect about 250,000 visitors over eight days. New attractions include a 12‑person karaoke game called Midway Melodies, a brand‑new ag area led by “Elfie the alpaca,” and “Bourbon Street North,” a New‑Orleans‑styled entertainment zone. Food vendors debut bourbon bacon, garlic‑parm twisted pickles, an Area 51 taco burger, Montreal‑deli pickle poutine, cookies‑and‑cream Korean corn dogs and twista‑roni among other innovations.
