Saskatchewan government launches 2026‑27 hunting licence sales

The Government of Saskatchewan announced that regular hunting licences and big‑game draw licences for the 2026‑27 season are now on sale. Licences can be purchased online through the Hunting, Angling and Trapping (HAL) system, in person at field offices or select provincial parks, from authorised licence issuers, or by phone with a credit‑card, using the holder’s HAL identification number.

Hunters are reminded that about 85 % of land in southern Saskatchewan is privately owned, so permission from landowners is required before hunting on private property. The province also released the 2026‑27 Saskatchewan Hunters Guide, which details season dates, licence options, fees, wildlife‑management updates and a new fisheries habitat certificate. A $15 fee will be added to licences for hunters who fail to submit the required harvest survey.

Environment Minister Darlene Rowden urged residents and visitors to plan ahead, follow the rules and help conserve wildlife for future generations.
