Saskatchewan RCMP reports fatal rollover near Rocanville
A single‑vehicle rollover on a mine road in the rural municipality of Rocanville, about 240 km east of Regina, resulted in the death of a 32‑year‑old man from the Little Saskatchewan First Nation. The driver was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead, and his family was notified. The Moosomin RCMP, assisted by a collision‑reconstruction specialist, are investigating the incident.
The crash adds to a troubling trend on Saskatchewan roads: provincial police report 49 fatal collisions this year, accounting for 60 deaths. RCMP communications director Mandy Maier highlighted a series of multiple‑fatality crashes that occurred between July 10 and July 22 across locations such as North Battleford, Spiritwood, Kamsack, Prince Albert, Nipawin, Outlook, Lumsden, Rosthern, Maple Creek and Swift Current.
