Saskatchewan Roughriders A.J. Ouellette ankle injury Quali Conley CFL roster changes

Running back A.J. Ouellette will miss the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ upcoming match against the Toronto Argonauts after suffering an ankle injury in the team’s 40‑37 win over the Calgary Stampeders. Coach Corey Mace placed Ouellette on the reserve roster, saying the risk of playing outweighs any benefit.

Quali Conley, a 23‑year‑old former Montreal Alouettes trainee and ex‑Cincinnati Bengals undrafted free agent, is slated to start at running back in Ouellette’s place. The Riders also adjusted other positions: Juju Hughes remains out with a long‑term ankle injury, Jonathan Edouard will start at halfback, and D’Sean Mimbs makes his first career CFL start, replacing Dhel Duncan‑Busby on the injured list.
