Saskatchewan Roughriders lose top receiver KeeSean Johnson for Thanksgiving game

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be without top receiver KeeSean Johnson for their Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Montreal Alouettes. Johnson has been ruled out due to an ankle injury sustained during Week 18 against the Calgary Stampeders. Other injuries affecting the Roughriders roster include receiver Samuel Emilus and fullback Albert Awachie, while left tackle Payton Collins is listed as questionable.

Ahead of the game, Montreal Alouettes leadership has indicated that some starters may be rested during the upcoming series, as the team looks toward the playoffs. The matchup carries significant weight for both organizations, serving as a rematch of last season's championship game. While some Montreal players expressed eagerness for the rivalry, quarterback Davis Alexander and coaching staff noted the importance of managing the roster for the post-season.
