Saskatoon 2026 Exhibition concludes, drawing over 150,000 visitors

The eight‑day Saskatoon 2026 Exhibition wrapped up at midnight on August 6, marking the end of the city’s “8 Best Days of Summer.” Organizers reported that more than 150,000 people attended during the first five days, with the highest crowds on the long‑weekend Monday, prompting security to struggle with parade‑route clearance.

Prairieland Park’s signature events manager, Peter Jelinski, said new amenities this year included better seating, additional shade, and extra midway activities to keep families engaged. A large permanent canopy was installed in the midway to protect guests from the hot, windy weather that also forced the cancellation of some rides on Sunday. Survey feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with respondents describing the event as “fun, accessible, and good for all families.”
