Sasol and Zutari announce 2027 bursary programmes in South Africa

Several organizations in South Africa have announced bursary opportunities for the 2027 academic year to support student development in various fields.

The Sasol Foundation is offering bursaries for South African citizens pursuing full-time undergraduate degrees at approved public universities. The programme includes STEM bursaries, with priority given to disciplines like Engineering, Information Technology, and Environmental Sciences. Non-STEM bursaries are specifically reserved for qualifying students from Sasol’s fence-line communities, children of Sasol employees, or children of Sasol Khanyisa shareholders. Applicants must have a combined household income not exceeding R800,000 per annum.

Zutari is providing 10 engineering bursaries for students specializing in Civil or Electrical Engineering. The programme is open to matriculants and first-, second-, and third-year degree students. The funding covers tuition fees, textbooks, and on-campus accommodation, while also providing mentorship and industry insights. Matric applicants are required to have a minimum academic average of 70%, including Level 7 in both Mathematics and Physical Science.
