Sason hosts fourth Honey, Walnut, and Strawberry Festival

The fourth annual Honey, Walnut, and Strawberry Festival is being held in the Sason district of Batman. Organized through the cooperation of the Batman Governor's Office, Sason District Governor's Office, and Sason Municipality, the event aims to promote the region's agricultural products and boost local economic activity.

A central feature of the festival is a traditional honey competition. Out of 413 local beekeepers, 28 participants submitted their products for evaluation by a specialist jury. The honey is judged based on three main criteria: taste, smell, and aroma. Winners will be awarded during a ceremony held as part of the festival program.

In addition to the agricultural showcases and honey auctions, the festival includes various cultural activities such as folklore performances, magic shows, concerts by the Batman Municipality Music Ensemble, and DJ sets.
