Sason Library Director receives NGO award for rapid growth

Mutalip Çelik, the director of the Sason Culture Center and Library, has been honored with an award by local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for his successful management of the facility.

Since opening six months ago, the Sason Library has hosted approximately 95,000 visitors, serving as a hub for reading, research, and educational activities. The library's rapid growth has contributed to Batman province ranking first in Turkey for library usage per capita, while the province's total annual library visitors exceeded 2.375 million, placing it second nationally.

Yunus Bozkurt, President of the Sason Yücebağ Security Guards Association, presented the award, praising Çelik’s dedication and his ability to advance the institutions he manages. Local representatives also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Governor of Batman, and the Sason District Governor for the establishment of the center.
