Sassari announces September cultural programs and exhibitions

Sassari is hosting several cultural initiatives throughout September, including a diverse program at its municipal libraries and a specialized exhibition at Spazio Denti.

The municipal libraries in Piazza Tola, Li Punti, and Caniga will host events focused on contemporary dance, history, and poetry. Notable upcoming events include the presentation of Paola Bianchi’s book “Corpo politico. Distopia del gesto, utopia del movimento” on September 3, and Antonio Murziani’s presentation of “Porto Conte e Alghero. Azione nemica 1° agosto 1941” on September 10, which examines Sardinian military history during World War II.

Additionally, the “Roots-Radici” exhibition opens on September 4 at Spazio Denti. The project features a private library collection documenting Sardinian craftsmanship from the last century to the present. The exhibition includes over 300 thematic articles, rare documents, and works by prominent 20th-century artists such as Eugenio Tavolara and Gavino Tilocca, alongside contemporary designs that build upon Sardinian traditions.
