Sassari approves 1.9 million euro renovation for Angioy Institute gymnasium

The Metropolitan City of Sassari has approved the executive project for the redevelopment of the 'Palestra Grande' at the Istituto Tecnico Industriale G. M. Angioy. This specific phase, known as the fourth lot, involves an investment of 1,902,000 euros.

The project includes demolition, asbestos remediation, and the revitalization of school spaces as part of the Iscol@ extraordinary school building plan. This intervention is part of a larger 8,822,000 euro funding program for the Angioy Institute, which is supported by 7.94 million euros from the 2021-2027 Fund for Development and Cohesion (FSC) and 882,240 euros in co-financing from the Metropolitan City.

Metropolitan Mayor Giuseppe Mascia stated that the investment aims to address long-standing issues and create safer, more functional environments for students and staff, viewing the project as an investment in the community's future.
