Sassari hosts British music concert series

The Cooperativa Teatro e/o Musica is returning to Sassari with its annual “Salotti culturali” event. The 2026 edition, curated by Andrea Ivaldi, is themed “Viaggio in Inghilterra” (Journey to England).

The program consists of five concerts scheduled from October 6 to November 20, exploring significant milestones of 20th-century British music and its relationship with tradition. The series will navigate the tension between academicism and the avant-garde, as well as the influence of world wars on musical development.

Four of the performances will take place at the Teatro Verdi, while the final concert will be held at the Basilica del Sacro Cuore. Following the tradition of the event, musical performances will be accompanied by discussions involving critics and experts to engage with the audience.
