Sassari invests over €1 M in new sports facilities, including Sasso Morelli locker rooms and Vanni Sanna football fields

The municipality of Sassari is close to completing a €580,000 locker‑room complex for the Sasso Morelli sports field. The project, funded with €345,000 from the regional development fund and €235,000 from the commune, is scheduled for hand‑over in September after a spring‑time construction phase carried out by Lacky Impianti Elettrici.

At the same time, two new five‑a‑side and seven‑a‑side football pitches have been finished near the Vanni Sanna stadium. The €340,000 works were financed from a €2 million sports‑loan programme and executed by contractor Zicchittu Francesco. The pitches measure 20 × 30 m and 25 × 44 m respectively and will be managed by the local club Torres under the supervision of the public works commission.
