Sassari launches extraordinary city-wide cleaning campaign

The Municipality of Sassari has launched an extraordinary cleaning program managed by the Environment and Public Greenery sector. The initiative began in the historic center, specifically targeting areas along the Faradda dei Candelieri route, such as Piazza del Comune, Piazza Tola, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, and various surrounding streets and porticos. This initial focus was prompted by the high volume of people attending the Candelieri festival.

As a new measure requested by Pierluigi Salis, the assessor for ecological transition and urban decorum, the program will include extraordinary cleaning of areas surrounding and within the courtyards of city schools. The administration aims to complete these school-related interventions before the start of the new academic year.

The cleaning operations will continue in the coming weeks, expanding to other city neighborhoods. The schedule for these subsequent interventions is being determined based on priority levels and citizen reports submitted via official municipal channels, including email, the Municip app, and social media.
