Sassari to host fifth Paolo Tassu football tournament

The fifth edition of the “Paolo Tassu” tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 5, in Sassari. Organized by the family of Tassu and ASD Sassari Calcio Latte Dolce, the event honors the memory of a prominent figure in Sassari youth football who passed away in January 2021.

The 2026 edition holds particular significance as the municipal sports field on via Leoncavallo has been officially named in memory of Paolo Tassu, following authorization from the Prefecture and a municipal resolution. The tournament will feature multiple groups of teams, including Cagliari Calcio, Torres Calcio, and AC Olbia, with the official dedication ceremony taking place between the semifinals and the final.
