Sassenheim foundation organizes cancer support events

The foundation ‘Als kanker je raakt’ is organizing two upcoming events in Sassenheim to support individuals affected by cancer and their loved ones.

On October 30, a benefit concert will be held at the Sint Pancratiuskerk. The event features musical performances by PGSassenheim Canticum Vocale, led by Ad de Joode, and the brass group GoedKoper from Noordwijkerhout. Admission is free, though collections will be held for the foundation.

On November 7, the foundation will host a meeting day at Het Venster. This event includes a lecture by Marjan van ’t Spijker, a lunch, and workshops focused on living with cancer and managing grief. The meeting day is designed as a low-threshold opportunity for patients and relatives to share experiences and find mutual support.
