Sassuolo launches management tender for 'Paggerie Giovani' youth hub

The Union of Municipalities of the Distretto Ceramico, together with the Comune di Sassuolo, has published a public notice to select a third‑sector organization, run by a majority of members under 35, to manage the building “Le Paggerie Giovani” at via Rocca 22. The historic structure, part of the Antiche Paggerie of the Ducal Palace, was recently renovated with PNRR funds and will become a multifunctional hub.

The project, called “Paggerie Bene Comune”, is co‑financed by an ANCI grant and the Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The selected entity will receive a start‑up contribution, a three‑year management contract, and must ensure at least 51 % of its governing body are under‑35. Planned facilities include large study rooms, a bar, podcast production spaces, a fonoteca, gaming areas, creative labs and the central civic hall. Vice‑Mayor Serena Lenzotti emphasized that the initiative aims to turn youth energy into concrete social, cultural and economic value for the city.
