Sassuolo makes official offer for Napoli striker Walid Cheddira

Napoli striker Walid Cheddira is the subject of active transfer negotiations as several Italian clubs seek offensive reinforcements. Sassuolo has submitted an official offer to Napoli to acquire the player, who is currently considered surplus to requirements at the club following a loan spell at Lecce.

Sassuolo is looking for an urgent solution in attack, particularly to replace Andrea Pinamonti, who is expected to join Lazio. While Cheddira previously played for Sassuolo, the club is revisiting the option to address their immediate needs.

Negotiations with Frosinone, which previously appeared close to completion, have reportedly stalled. Although an agreement between the two clubs was nearing a conclusion, Frosinone's ownership has decided to put the deal on hold for the time being.
