Sassuolo and Cagliari agree to player exchange deal

Sassuolo and Cagliari have reached an agreement for a player exchange involving Sebastiano Esposito and Riccardo Ciervo. Esposito, a 2002-born attacker, will move to Sassuolo on a loan deal worth approximately 1 million euros, featuring a buyout option set between 10 and 11 million euros. Sassuolo has reportedly offered Esposito a contract lasting until 2031. As part of the deal, Riccardo Ciervo will join Cagliari on loan with a 3 million euro buyout option.

Sassuolo coach Alberto Aquilani confirmed the club is nearing the end of the transfer window and noted that several players, including Idzes and Berardi, have returned to training following injuries. The club is also preparing for an upcoming Serie A match against Torino, which will be broadcast exclusively on DAZN.
