Sassuolo signs Rafel Obrador on loan from Benfica

Sassuolo has officially completed the signing of Spanish defender Rafel Obrador on loan from Benfica. The deal includes an option to purchase the player permanently, reportedly valued at €7 million at the end of the season.

Obrador, a 22-year-old Spain Under-21 international, previously developed in the Real Madrid youth academy and has played for Deportivo La Coruña, Benfica, and Torino. This move marks his return to Serie A.

In related transfer activity, Sassuolo has also loaned Uruguayan striker Agustin Alvarez to Club Atletico Talleres. The loan for the 25-year-old international also includes an option to buy at the conclusion of the season.
