German TV launches new series seasons and film premiere in July 2026

Frieren season 2 Hunting Party season 2 Meeresleuchten ProSiebenMAXX ARD

ProSiebenMAXX will begin airing the second season of the anime series "Frieren: Nach dem Ende der Reise" on Friday, 17 July 2026 at 22:55, showing three episodes each night after the related film. The series is streamed by Crunchyroll and will be briefly available in the Joyn media library after broadcast.

SAT.1 announced that the second season of the US crime drama "Hunting Party – Die Mörderjagd" premieres on Tuesday, 21 July 2026 at 20:15, presented in double‑episode blocks. The free‑to‑air premiere will also be streamed for free on Joyn.

ARD will broadcast the drama film "Meeresleuchten" on 8 July 2026 at 20:15. The film, starring Ulrich Tukur, Sibel Kekilli and others, is also available via ARD’s live‑stream and later in the ARD Mediathek, though no repeat is scheduled.
