Satara road accident kills four after car hits truck

A high-speed car collided with a truck on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway in the Shirwal area of Satara district, Maharashtra, resulting in the deaths of four young men. The accident occurred during the midnight hours between Monday and Tuesday.

The occupants of the Nexon car, hailing from the Maval taluka areas of Kamshet and Talegaon Dabhade, were traveling when the collision occurred. The impact was severe, leaving the vehicle heavily damaged. Four individuals—Vedant Arjun Waringe, Sonling Dhirendra Thakur, Aditya Balasaheb Garud, and Nikhil Balu Raut—died at the scene. Two others, Dixit Dayanand Pujari and Mayur Hanumant Shinde, sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving hospital treatment.

Shirwal police arrived at the scene to clear the wreckage and restore traffic flow on the highway following a significant congestion. Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the specific causes of the crash.
