Satgas Cartenz conducts humanist patrols in Papua

Personnel from the Satgas Kepolisian Operasi Damai Cartenz-2026 conducted humanist foot patrols in the Muara District of Puncak Jaya, Central Papua, on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The patrols aimed to maintain public order and strengthen relationships between security forces and local residents through direct dialogue and social interaction.

During the patrol, officers visited various community activity points, including the SMP Satu Atap Mewoluk school grounds, to ensure a safe environment for students and staff. Lukas Murib, the Vice Principal of the school, expressed appreciation for the presence of the task force in protecting the local community.

In Mimika Regency, Bojan Dokainubun, coordinator of the Cipayung Alumni Forum, also voiced support for the task force's approach. He noted that the use of persuasive and social methods—such as visiting orphanages and providing health services—helps build trust and security within the Papua region.
