Satomi Ishihara to star in new political heist drama ‘Political Pan’

The new Fuji TV drama ‘Political Pan’, written by Akiko Nogi, is set to premiere on October 7. The series is described as a phantom thief entertainment piece following Yayoi Kisaragi, played by Satomi Ishihara, who infiltrates the political world to steal dark political funds.

Atsuro Watabe has been cast as Inui, a mysterious informant with an independent network who provides political information to Kisaragi for amusement, though he appears to have his own significant objectives.

Yuumi Kawai will make her first appearance in a Fuji TV continuous drama, playing Miyabi Kobayakawa, the daughter of a powerful political kingmaker. The character is depicted as a frequent night-owl who becomes involved with Kisaragi. Promotional images featuring Ishihara and Kawai have been released to build anticipation for the series.
