Satpol PP Bantul Tightens Enforcement on Parking and Illegal Advertising
Local authorities in Bantul, Indonesia intensified regulation compliance checks in late July 2026. On 28 July, a joint operation by Satpol PP and the Transportation Department inspected parking sites, issuing warnings and formal notices to 11 operators for lacking permits and for illegal parking near the emergency department of RSUD Panembahan Senopati. Three vehicles were cited under the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement system.
In the same period, Satpol PP dismantled eight illegal commercial advertisements and referred three cases to the light‑offence court. The actions targeted billboards, banners and other promotional media installed without the required permits, particularly around the Gedongkuning intersection in Banguntapan. Head of Enforcement, Sri Hartati, said the measures aim to maintain public order, ensure traffic safety and enforce proper licensing for all commercial signage.
