SATSAID union protests against streaming platforms Olga and Neura

The Argentine Television, Audiovisual, Interactive and Data Services Union (SATSAID) held protests in Buenos Aires against major streaming platforms, including Olga and Neura, to demand labor regularization.

Union representatives claim that technical, operational, and production staff at these digital media outlets are being subjected to labor fraud. The union alleges that workers are being hired as independent contractors (monotributistas) despite performing regular duties that should fall under collective bargaining agreements. This status denies them benefits such as paid vacations, annual bonuses (aguinaldo), and social security contributions.

SATSAID official Sebastián Giannetti stated that while some spaces have successfully registered workers, others like Olga, Neura, AZZ, and Carajo remain in a state of marginality. The union is calling for these companies to open a dialogue to formalize employment and ensure workers receive their legal rights.
