SATSE calls for more nurses in Murcia due to vaccination campaigns

The nursing union SATSE is calling for increased staffing in Murcia health centers due to a surge in workload caused by overlapping vaccination campaigns. The union notes that the seasonal adult vaccination has started earlier than in previous years, coinciding with school-based flu vaccinations.

Furthermore, the school vaccination campaign has expanded its target population to include children up to 11 years old, covering the entire primary education stage. This increase in volume is compounded by immunization efforts against the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) for infants and high-risk groups, as well as active outreach for shingles, pneumococcus, and HPV vaccines.
