Satsujin no Mon holds world premiere at Busan International Film Festival

The film ‘Satsujin no Mon’ (The Gate of Murder), based on the mystery novel by Keigo Higashino, held its world premiere at the 31st Busan International Film Festival. Lead actors Kento Yamazaki and Kohei Matsushita, alongside Emi Takei, attended the event, which drew enthusiastic reactions from the local audience.

Emi Takei has been cast as a key character, Yukiko Uehara, a woman who becomes the wife of Kuramochi (played by Yamazaki) and serves as a central figure in the complex relationships between the protagonists. The film explores a distorted 30-year relationship between two men, Kuramochi and Tajima (played by Matsushita).

The movie is scheduled for a nationwide release in Japan on February 19, 2027.
