Satu Mare county schools post high exam pass rates and top averages

In the 2025‑2026 school year, Bartók Béla Theoretical Lyceum in Satu Mare enrolled 45 students for the national high‑school graduation exam, with 37 passing (an 82.2% success rate) and an overall average score of 8.21. The school achieved perfect pass rates in mathematics‑informatics and economics, and high averages in biology‑chemistry and social sciences.

Across Satu Mare county, 1,833 students sat for the exam, of whom 1,474 earned their diplomas, raising the county’s graduate success rate to 85.1% for this cohort and 80.4% overall. Ioan Slavici High School led the county ranking with a 100% pass rate and an average of 8.84, followed by Mihai Eminescu High School (99.4% pass, 8.56 average) and Kölcsey Ferenc High School (95.3% pass, 8.28 average). The rankings highlight strong performance despite additional language requirements for Hungarian‑section students.
