Saturday Night Live adds new cast members for Season 52

Saturday Night Live has announced two new featured players for its 52nd season: Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter. The additions follow the departures of Chloe Fineman after seven seasons and Martin Herlihy after five seasons.

Saidah Belo-Osagie, a performer from Queens, New York, is known for the event series Afrobeats Futura and the solo show Saidah Gets Closure. Her casting follows a period where the show lacked Black female cast members following the exit of Ego Nwodim.

Grace Reiter, originally from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, gained recognition through the TikTok-based sketch show Stapleview. Her credits include the Netflix mockumentary American High and HBO’s The Chair Company.

Season 52 is scheduled to premiere on September 26 with host Jalen Brunson.
