Saturday Night Live features political satire in recent episode

The latest episode of Saturday Night Live included several sketches centered on political figures and current events. One sketch utilized a parody of Paw Patrol to make a satirical reference to former South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, specifically referencing her past actions regarding a dog.

Another segment featured cast member Colin Jost portraying U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. The Weekend Update segment also addressed political topics, including commentary regarding Donald Trump and the Nobel Peace Prize.

Experts note that such political satire, especially when shared via social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, can increase voter engagement by providing individuals with more agency to share and discuss political content through short-form media.
