Saturnino Di Ruscio faces incompatibility dispute in Fermo

A political dispute is unfolding in Fermo regarding the potential removal of opposition councilor Saturnino Di Ruscio due to alleged incompatibility with his office. The conflict centers on an ongoing legal appeal against the Municipality of Fermo.

Following a meeting of the First Commission, administration representative Alessandro Ciarrocchi maintained that the issue is strictly legal, noting that Di Ruscio remains a party in the pending appeal. The administration argues that the transfer of rights to Di Ruscio's sisters via a notary can only be considered once the Court of Appeal of Ancona officially removes him from the proceedings.

Edoardo Candidori, leader of the Piazza Pulita group, has called for political clarity regarding a 2022 compensation claim. In response, Di Ruscio has denounced the accusations as a ‘smear campaign’ and a ‘mud campaign.’ He asserts that he has already transferred all rights and claims related to the disputed assets to his sisters through a notary act following his mother's death. Di Ruscio stated he will submit a request to the Court of Appeal of Ancona for immediate dismissal from the lawsuit.
